Arrival at Faa'a International Airport

Welcome/ Maeva

You are here : General Information > Arrival at Faa'a International Airport

The first thing

You will notice as you disembark from your aircraft is the warmth, followed quickly with the unmistakable scent of Gardenia Tahitensis, the popular Tiare flower. As you pass through the immigration control area you will be offered one as a welcome gesture to wear behind one of your ears. As a rule, those who are “available” wear the Tiare behind their right ear, whilst those “betrothed” behind the left.
